Amaron comes from Amara Raja, a battery maker based in Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The brand was launched in 2000, at a time when Amara Raja worked in partnership with Johnson Controls, an arrangement that ended in 2019. Amaron made its name on sealed batteries that never need topping up and on a silver-alloy grid meant to resist corrosion at high temperatures. It is now a familiar sight under bonnets across the Gulf.
A battery designed for Indian summers starts with an advantage in Dubai, though the honest figure is still two to three years for most cars. Amaron suits the driver with a Toyota, Nissan or Mitsubishi that does ordinary work: the commute, the supermarket, a weekend drive to Hatta. It is less suited to European cars with start-stop, because the mainstream Amaron lines are conventional sealed batteries and those cars need AGM or EFB.

How long does an Amaron battery last in Dubai heat?
Most last two to three years here, in line with other good sealed batteries. Short trips, long idling with the AC on and weeks parked without driving all shorten that. We test your current battery before selling you anything, and a new Amaron carries a warranty of up to 24 months.
Can I fit an Amaron to a car with start-stop?
Not a standard one. Start-stop cars cycle the battery far harder than a conventional battery is built for, and it will fail early. If your car has start-stop, we fit an EFB or AGM battery of the correct type from a brand that makes it in your size.
Do I ever need to add water to an Amaron battery?
No. Amaron car batteries are sealed and maintenance-free, so there is nothing to top up. What still helps is keeping the terminals clean and tight and taking the car for a proper run every week or two so the battery gets a full charge.
