Will frond security let the technician in?
Only if the resident has approved it. Phone the gatehouse, give the villa number and say a battery technician from JBR Battery is expected. If the guard cannot reach you, the van waits at the barrier, so keep your phone close until he is through.
I am staying at a hotel on the Crescent. Can you come there?
Yes. Tell the concierge or valet desk so they can direct the van to the car park or forecourt. The Crescent is the furthest point of the Palm from JBR, so expect the drive to sit at the upper end of the usual range, especially on weekend evenings.
My BMW's battery is in the boot. Is that a problem on a villa driveway?
No. On many BMW models the battery sits in the boot, and on some other German cars it is under the boot floor or a seat, and it is changed there. These cars normally take an AGM battery and need the new one registered to the car. Send the model and year so the right tool comes along.
