An oil change in JBR replaces the engine oil and oil filter with the grade and specification in your car's handbook. Where the building allows it, a technician does it at your parking bay with an extraction pump. Otherwise the car is collected, serviced at the workshop and returned. WhatsApp or call, 24/7.

- New sump plug washer whenever the plug is removed.

Confirm oil and filter
Send the car's make, model, year and engine. The correct oil specification and filter are confirmed against the handbook, and you are told if the job suits your parking bay.
Drain, filter, refill
The engine is warmed, the old oil is extracted or drained, the filter is changed and fresh oil goes in. The level is rechecked after the engine has run for a minute.
Reset and record
The service reminder is reset and the date and odometer reading noted. Used oil and the old filter are taken away for proper disposal, so nothing is left in your building.
Good to know in JBR
Most handbooks give two service schedules, and Dubai driving fits the severe one: high heat, dust, short trips and long idling with the AC on. A car that only does the school run and the JBR loop may never get its oil hot for long enough to drive off moisture and fuel, yet it idles for hours. Hours matter as much as kilometres. Go by the handbook's shorter interval or the time limit, whichever comes first.

Oil change: common questions
Can the oil be changed in my tower's basement?
It depends on the car and the building. Engines with a top-mounted filter and a dipstick tube can be done cleanly with an extraction pump and a drip mat. Cars that need the undertray removed, and buildings that do not permit servicing in the car park, mean a workshop visit with collection and return.
Which oil does my car need?
The handbook lists a viscosity, such as 5W-30, and a specification or manufacturer approval. Both matter. Turbocharged engines and cars with a particulate filter are sensitive to the wrong specification. If the handbook is missing, the technician looks the specification up from the chassis number.
Is extracting oil through the dipstick tube as good as draining it?
On engines designed for it, yes. The pump reaches the lowest point of the sump, and some dealer workshops service cars this way. On engines where the tube does not reach the bottom, draining from the sump plug is the right method, and that is done at the workshop.
