Omoda is a young brand, and most of its cars in Dubai are still on their first battery. That first replacement tends to arrive sooner than owners expect, usually in the second or third summer. The petrol C5, C7 and C9 carry the battery under the bonnet. Versions with engine start-stop need an EFB or AGM battery. Copy the type printed on the original label and do not trade down to a basic one.
These cars are built around their screens and driver aids, and all of it runs on the 12V battery. A weak one can show up as electronic oddities before slow cranking: a screen that reboots, a camera that lags, start-stop that stays off. A memory saver keeps your settings during the change. On hybrids and the E5, a mobile technician deals with the 12V battery only. Where the car has a battery sensor, we check afterwards that it reads the new battery properly.
